Department of Self Love
Finding your way, one step at a time. Youβre not lost – youβre arriving.

Orientation Memo: Welcome to the Department
A short orientation on how this space works – part office, part inner sanctuary, part experiment in slow self-rediscovery.

π± Onboarding Note | Before Day One
Preparation is useful. Expecting ourselves to already know how to do something we haven’t yet started is less useful. Day One is permitted to be Day One.
-

π Status Update | Pending Confirmation
Some things reach the strange stage between probably and officially. We can be hopeful. We can prepare. And we can let reality finish the paperwork.
-

π OCI Finding | No Further Analysis Required
Not every pleasant experience needs to become exercise, recovery, productivity or personal development. Sometimes the entire outcome is: That was nice. OCI considers this sufficient.
-

π± Onboarding Note | Maybe I Could
Confidence does not always arrive as certainty. Sometimes it is simply the moment when I can’t becomes a little less convincingβand maybe I could becomes possible.
-

πͺ Body Bulletin | The Body Did That
Sometimes we become so focused on what we want to change about our bodies that we overlook what they already allow us to do. The Office conducted a broader capability review. The findings were surprisingly extensive.
-

π Progress Review | I Can Do Things I Couldn’t Do Before
When we only look at what is still ahead, progress can be surprisingly difficult to see. Every now and then, turn around. There may be considerably more ground behind you than you realised.
-

π§ Onboarding Note | The More I Learn, the Less Qualified I Feel
The more we learn, the more we sometimes notice what we don’t know. Confidence may wobble. The brain may complain. This does not necessarily mean learning is failing. Sometimes it means the gaps have finally become visible.
-

βοΈ Body Bulletin | The Scale Has Not Received the Memo
The walking is happening. Strength training has commenced. The muscles have opinions. The bathroom scale, however, remains largely unmoved. One measure is data. It is not the whole body.
-

πΏ I Donβt Need To Solve This Today
Some problems need more thought. Others simply need information that has not arrived yet. When there is nothing useful left to do today, perhaps the kindest thing is to let the question remain unanswered for a while.

π« The Heavenly Cube
For two weeks, the Heavenly Cube was postponed. Then one day, the answer was yes. Perhaps caring for ourselves includes nourishment and enjoymentβand sometimes the exhausting part isn’t eating the thing, but deciding whether we’re allowed to.
