🌿 Department Notice — Planned Recess

Subject: Department Recess

Following completion of the Department’s recent process mapping trial, the Director’s Office has approved a short operational recess.

The Department has been active for many months.

New themes have been explored.

Artefacts have been developed.

Lunch & Learn sessions were held.

Unexpected levels of curiosity were observed.

Recent observations suggest that a period of rest would be beneficial.

Accordingly, all Offices will enter a planned recess for two weeks.

No formal deliverables are required during this period.

Instead, each Office has been invited to simply observe.

Life continues outside the Department.

Meals will still be prepared.

Walks will still be taken.

Questions will still be asked.

Ideas may arrive unexpectedly.

These observations need not be hurried.

Upon returning, each Office is invited to submit a brief report describing what was noticed during the recess.

No minimum word count applies.

No process maps are required.

Although the Director’s Office acknowledges that some Offices may choose to prepare one regardless.

The Department wishes everyone a restorative recess.

Operations will resume shortly.
