Subject: Capability Review
Recent reporting has focused heavily on one performance measure:
The bathroom scale.
The Office acknowledges that this measure remains relevant.
However, a broader capability review has identified several items missing from the dashboard.
The body walked.
It lifted weights.
It carried groceries.
It climbed stairs.
It cooked, cleaned, drove, bent, stretched and moved through ordinary days.
Some of these things barely registered as achievements because they have become normal.
The Office considers this an oversight.
A body is not only something to weigh, measure or improve.
It is also the physical infrastructure through which an entire life is being lived.
There may still be goals.
There may still be things we would like to change.
But occasionally, instead of asking:
What hasn’t changed yet?
The Office recommends asking:
What did my body allow me to do today?
The answer may be more substantial than expected.
Capability status: Operational.
Improvement opportunities: Ongoing.
Appreciation: Increased.
Filed with considerably broader performance measures,

βThe body is not only something we work on. It is what we live through.β
