Subject: Nourishment’s Lunch Habits (Observed in Person)
Observation
At 12:10 p.m., Emotional Wellbeing (EW) visited Nourishment & Energy’s (N&E) office, following Productivity’s suspiciously glowing report of “rainbow lunches.” We arrived ready to disprove the hype. Instead, here is what we found:
- A long dining table set, laptops closed.
- Plates arranged in rainbow colour order:
- ❤️ tomatoes,
- 🧡 roasted pumpkin,
- 💛 egg omlette,
- 💚 spinach,
- 💙 blueberries,
- 💜 beets.
- Water glasses placed neatly beside every plate — already half full.
- Team Leader led the group in a quiet toast: “Lunch is care, not delay.”
Feelings Logged
- Initial disbelief: “Surely nobody eats this colourfully in real life.”
- Quiet surprise: the rainbow looked more joyful than disciplined.
- Warm admiration: conversations flowed easily, like the colours on the plate.
- Unexpected calm: even as an observer, we left feeling nourished.
Lessons Learned
- A proper lunch can be both fuel and comfort.
- Eating together is a kind of group meditation — lighter hearts, fuller plates.
- Rainbows aren’t only outside; sometimes they are plated right in front of you.
Reflection
Self-love is not choosing between discipline and comfort — it is allowing nourishment to be both.
Respectfully submitted,
