Colleagues,

In recent weeks, our Offices have offered proposals, filed case studies, and sparked conversations that were insightful, playful, and at times deeply moving. Yet beneath the creativity lies a truth that cannot be overlooked: self love requires integrity. Without it, we drift into sentiment without structure; with it, we anchor our mission.

Therefore, effective immediately, I am establishing the Office of Compliance & Integrity (OCI).

Mandate

OCI will ensure that self love is upheld not only as an aspiration but as a standard. It will safeguard honesty, transparency, and accountability across all divisions. It will call us to account when we neglect ourselves in the name of duty, efficiency, or convenience.

Authority

  • OCI will issue directives on matters of rest, nourishment, and emotional honesty.
  • OCI will conduct audits to ensure our practices align with our principles.
  • OCI will act as Deputy Voice of the Director during periods of absence.

Colleagues, integrity is not optional. It is the spine of our mission, the structure that allows humour, discovery, and nourishment to flourish. Without it, our Department falters. With it, we endure.

As I take a brief period of Me Time, I leave you in the capable hands of the newly formed Office of Compliance & Integrity.
