🍲 When the Mind Eats First

From: Office of Nourishment & Energy
To: All Staff, Department of Self Love
Subject: Cognitive Load β€” Energy Signals

As the Department moves beyond initial Orientation, the Office of Nourishment & Energy has observed a subtle shift in how energy is being experienced.

Meals are eaten, rest is taken, and routines are broadly intact β€” yet restoration feels incomplete. This is often the point at which the mind begins to consume more than the body expects.

The following signals were commonly noted:

β€œI was eating enough, but still felt depleted.”

β€œRest didn’t bring the same sense of recovery.”

β€œMy body was still, but my mind kept running.”

These patterns do not indicate poor habits or lack of discipline. They reflect cognitive load β€” the quiet energy cost of holding new systems, information, and responsibilities at once.

From a nourishment perspective, this phase asks for gentler expectations, not tighter control. Fueling a full mind requires steadiness, repetition, and permission to recover slowly.

Recommendation from this office:
When energy feels thin despite adequate care, assume your mind is working harder than usual. Support it with regular nourishment and uncomplicated rest.
