Subject: Transcript β Interviews on Memorable Moments of Leadership
While the Director remains on Me Time, OCI extended its inquiry to the remaining Offices. Each was invited to share a moment that stood out β a snapshot of the Directorβs leadership that left a lasting impression.
These reflections, gathered in her absence, underline how her example continues to shape the Department even when she is not present.
Interview 4: Office of Body Relations
OCI: What moment stands out most to you?
Body Relations: The day she chose to rest her foot instead of pushing through pain. It looked small from the outside, but for us, it was monumental. She showed that listening to the body is leadership too.
OCI: Logged. Leadership demonstrated through restraint.
Body Relations: That single moment gave the rest of us permission to see rest not as weakness, but as wisdom.
Interview 5: Office of Nourishment & Energy
OCI: And for you, which moment comes to mind?
Nourishment & Energy: Her celebration with chocolate. She had worked hard, achieved a milestone, and instead of denying herself, she chose joy in moderation. It taught us that fuel is not only about health β itβs also about delight.
OCI: Noted. Balance between nourishment and celebration.
Nourishment & Energy: That moment reframed energy: joy is a nutrient too.
Interview 6: Office of Onboarding
OCI: And which moment has stayed with you?
Onboarding: When she welcomed new practices with patience β not rushing, but letting them find their place. I remember her saying, βWe donβt need to master it all at once.β That moment set the tone for how new beginnings should feel.
OCI: Recorded. Leadership by easing entry rather than demanding speed.
Onboarding: That moment taught us that true onboarding is kindness. Itβs less about information, more about reassurance.
Closing Statement
From these voices, three defining moments emerge:
- Restraint β choosing rest when the body demands it.
- Joy β celebrating effort with delight, not denial.
- Patience β easing new beginnings with reassurance.
Together, they show a Director whose leadership is remembered not only in words, but in moments of lived example.
Filed with due diligence,
Office of Compliance & Integrity
βBecause excellence is remembered in moments, not only in measures.β
