Subject: On the Unexpected Arrival of a Green Guest
Today, an unusual event occurred outside headquarters. A green bird appeared at the fence line, clearly tired, clearly lost. It could not fly, yet it trusted enough to perch on an outstretched hand.
Water was offered, seeds were shared, and soon the bird rested calmly, as if it had always belonged. After some time, its rightful home was identified, and it was safely reunited with its family.
The incident was brief, but it carried weight. We were reminded of something simple: instinct matters. When care presents itself, respond. When a creature โ feathered, human, or otherwise โ is thirsty, offer water. When someone is lost, help them find their way back.
This, too, is self love. Not only in how we treat ourselves, but in how we honour the connections around us. Sometimes compassion flows outward, only to circle back and replenish us.
With gratitude,
The Director
โBecause love, extended freely, always returns.โ
