Classification: Level 2 – Emotional Audit
Dear Director,
We’re pleased to submit our Month One report, although “pleased” may not fully capture the emotional complexity of what we’ve experienced since launch.
🌡️ General Mood: Mixed
In the best possible way. A blend of excitement, creative vulnerability, occasional overwhelm, and… is there a word for crying from joy while also wondering what’s for dinner?
We’ve been:
- Processing a surprising amount of emotion considering “not much happened”
- Navigating inner waves with grace, and sometimes with snacks
- Creating space for reflection, integration, and very soft cardigans
✨ Department Highlights:
- 9 emotional documents submitted
(We do consider each blog post a document of feeling) - Launched Weekend Debrief format: a reflective, messy, beautiful win
- Survived a few minor internal storms without issuing a full shutdown
⚠️ Challenges:
- Occasional resistance from other departments who think “feeling everything” is not a deliverable
- Increased vulnerability levels triggered a spontaneous “cry under blanket” protocol (resolved internally, no escalation required)
🌱 Recommendations:
- Continue Weekend Debriefs as a standing ritual
- Introduce optional “Feelings Forecast” bulletin across departments
- Request 1 (one) additional plant for the office, ideally something hard to kill
We thank you for holding space for complexity.
We are doing the work. We are proud.
We are also requesting an emotional snack budget increase.
Sincerely,
Office of Emotional Wellbeing
